Where’s my lingerie?

Now that the happy hour and boycott are done, we can get back to talking about me and my kooky friends. It’s been a crazy week for Charlene. I had to take the girls to ballet practice three times and drive to Charleston to meet with my big sister. But I’m back now. Sighs of relief please.

Something that’s been bothering me over the past few weeks has been the loss of my lingerie. It seems no matter how many undergarments I buy, I keep losing them. I couldn’t even find a clean bra to wear the other day that fit the way I like it. I don’t know what’s going on or where my lingerie is going, but I’m getting fed up with it.

Any of y’all ever have this problem? Holler back if you do!

Charlene has been boot scoot ‘n’ busy the last few days. Big Daddy and my three daughters have been down with the flu. I wanted to take a second to update y’all on the overwhelming support of the happy hour boycott.

Big Head Rob has the latest details if you want them. From Rob’s site-

*****UPDATE: From Latest Obsession: “They sound like jerks…never linked to them and never will…”

*****UPDATE: ThongSpeedz has added the boycott logo.

*****UPDATE: Ashburnite: “Not that I don’t support it, for the most part I’m just trying to stay away from the drama.”

*****UPDATE: Best DC Blog, one of the most popular blogs in the metro area, has joined the boycott.

*****UPDATE: “I have been boycotting them for more than a year now,” says The Senator from CPMC. “Especially after the last one I attended where I offered Roosh a handshake. He wouldn’t do it. I expected his immaturity and was embarrassed for him.”

*****UPDATE: Says Andy, “I don’t like what Roosh and VK have openly said about Kassy K, so I will not be attending. It’s my own reason for boycotting, and I feel like this is something, at least.”

*****UPDATE: Commenters indicate that Big Sky Girl, Finding Blanche, Bad Things I’ve Done Lately, Dealing in Subterfuges and Uneven Steven support the cause. If this information needs to be updated, e-mail BHDCtips@gmail.com

*****UPDATE: Night Rider weighs in: “…I wouldn’t want to hang out with these dudes… So if that makes me a supporter, so be it.”

*****UPDATE: Sommer Mathis, editor of DCist, says, “Not a single person who contributes to DCist has been contacted about, heard of, or has anything to do with this.” However, at least two individual DCist writers have expressed their support in private.

****UPDATE: Church of the Big Sky and Sugar N Spiceplan on joining, according to commenters. If this information needs to be updated, e-mail BHDCtips@gmail.com

*****UPDATE: From Temple Snark: “Roosh…seems to have a disgusting one-track idea about women…”

*****UPDATE: Republic of T: “I don’t go to any blogger happy hours these days.” He calls on bloggers to “take back the blog.”

*****UPDATE: The bitches at Bigger Bitch Than You have posted the boycott logo.

*****UPDATE: From Anon: “I write a sex blog for women and will be adding the logo.”

One of the most popular and best DC Blogs, Velvet in Dupont, has joined the Blogger Happy Hour Boycott Coalition against VK and Roosh V!

UPDATE, 11:15p.m.: Circumlocutor, one of the smartest blogs in town, has joined the team!!!

Charlene doesn’t support online predators

My daddy used to always tell me, “Charlene, if you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything.” He was such a wise man. Also wise are the people at Best DC Blogs. Inspired by that site, Charlene is joining the Boycott Blogger Happy Hour movement. If you want to join, just put this image and text under it on your blog.

As a signer of the Blogger Code of Ethics, Charlene does not support the posting of other people’s personal data on the Internet. We also do not condone violence, agression, or blog nastiness. As such, we have joined the BOYCOTT BLOGGER HAPPY HOUR movement. Until the sponsors of the Blogger Happy Hour become honourable in their pursuit of blogging, we will continue to support truth through this movement.

The hottest and steamiest rumor floating around the blogosphere has to do with Charlene’s kooky friend, Big Head Rob. Word has it that Robbie is going to start hosting regular parties at a DC club or lounge. Some people are calling these “Alternative Blogger Happy Hours,” but those who know say Robbie’s parties will be much bigger, more chic, more fun, and funkier than a Blogger Happy Hour could ever be. They’ll probably also be held later at night and include a lot more people than just bloggers, from what I hear.

Robbie has told Charlene nothing so far. As soon as he does, I’ll  let y’all know when and where these parties are going to be. One thing’s for sure. The parties will be fun!

One of Charlene’s kooky web pals, Peter, has written a touching tribute to Kurt Vonnegut. Peter’s blog, Nightwriter, is thought-provoking and one of the few joys to read on the web today!

One of my kookiest pals, Big Head Rob, is in the process of forcing some naughty bloggers close down their shops. Once Robbie goes after a target, he doesn’t stop until it is dead enough for the cookin’. I’ve just been reading tastes of the drama over on Best DC Blogs. If you want all the news and reports on Robbie’s latest take-down operation, read it over at Big Head DC.

Big Head DC, for any of y’all who are newcomers like Charlene, is essential daily reading for anyone on the East Coast! Go Robbie, go!

Consider yourselves warned. If you go to eat at the Dupont Circle Raku, you’d better bring a sweater because the assholes who run that place aren’t turning on the heater. Brrrrrrrr.

Charlene Smells a Scam

Goodness! Are men in the District of Columbia now resorting to concocting cockamamie stories about “fiances” and “engagements” and “breakups” in order to get laid? It sure seems that way!

Some fellows will do just about anything to sucker a girl into a kiss and a blowjob, but this could be a first! A blogger I’ve never heard of wrote about his imaginary fiance and a make-believe breakup in the hopes of getting a little attention. A whole bunch of lies just so that he wouldn’t have to go to the movies alone! How do you like them apples?

The Bitches have the full investigative report. Here’s the link:

Ladies, What if He Gets You In Bed With a BIG FAT LIE?

Charlene Really Likes Merujo

It’s Easter, and I feel like being nicer than usual. I feel like telling y’all how much I really like Merujo of Church of the Big Sky. I’ve never met Merujo, but I’ve been reading her blog for a long time. Charlene really likes her!

That poor girl has more troubles in her life than most of us will ever have to deal with. But, despite her problems, she stays strong and motivational and beautiful. Her inner-beauty really shines through on her blog.

She occasionally joins the party on my new favorite blog, Best DC Blog. She has such a good sense of humor and positive outlook, that you can’t help but noticing sunshine radiating through the clouds of her life. She’s a real inspiration to all of us!

Happy Easter Merujo! Charlene wishes you only the best in life!
